• Specialist advice on Hard Landscaping e.g. paving, materials, construction process, access, waste away. This is also suitable for developers new to the area.

• Independent Review and Report - Is there an issue with works past or current?

• Specialist Water (aquatic advice) regarding water features, ponds & external cold water systems, please enquire regarding disease or specific livestock issues.

I believe it’s normal to ask questions, you can’t get a price on fair terms if you don’t know what you are asking for. I’m active anonymously on various garden Social Media groups and I see it all the time, You want to know what can and can’t be done within your garden. You want to know if your ideas are ok, or if they can be taken further with some professional input. You want to know if you have been taken advantage of or if the work was any good. And some of You want to know if it can be done by You - and all these questions are good.

In short a lot of us want or need some Professional Advice occasionally without the pressure of commitment or the ‘hard-sell’, whether its for pre-project planning or just a chat about what can be done, I offer this on a non-biased basis. This is why I charge, if I didn’t I would be trying to win your work. That said if you do want a quote or design from us we are happy to provide and price of consultation comes off the price of any work performed*

*Consultancies usually start at £250.00 for approximately 2 hours on site with you (this is about how long before ones’ eyes glaze over) and then normally a half days work required back in the office with a follow up email containing the pertinent details of our consult plus any further info.

This is for basic starting consults, such as pre project advice or general chats about your garden - this can be taken off any work awarded after, however all consults are non-biased other than our own subjective option

Further Reviews, Long term Consults, Independent reviews, Insurance Quotations and other services please enquire for pricing.

Any monies paid for general consults or advice that ends in MNB Deisgns being awarded work will be removed from project cost provided project is commissioned no more than 90 days from consult and any works total exceeds the sum of £5000.00

Garden Talks

Passionate about gardens and gardening Christian Dupont gives regular talks as well as coming to your Gardening Club or Association about some of his favourite topics in the garden.

My love of water has kept me in the industry, generally I cover the use of and how to use water in the garden from small pots to large ponds. Q&A at the end.
Earning my own blue badge (spinal issues) has made me appreciate the need for attention to our gardens as we become less able to maintain and therefore enjoy them. I cover how to, and what we need to think about!
Having grown up in the film business (my father was a Hollywood producer) and studying photography and cinematography including at one point having a drone license, I enjoy the art of garden photography.
Gardens are the most interesting room in the house, changing every day, but they also get used for every different type of thing. I know a lot of people who have had firsts of all kinds in gardens! This talk covers the more interesting experiences with and within British Backgarden’s over my 30 year career.
