Garden Talks
Garden Talks With Real Experience Behind Them
After more than 30 years in the horticultural and landscaping industry, Christian Dupont is available for garden talks, club presentations, business sessions and online talks.
These talks are shaped by real experience, not theory alone. Christian has spent decades working with gardens, plants, ponds, materials, clients, awkward spaces, changing trends and all the practical challenges that come with creating and maintaining outdoor spaces.
Whether you are part of a garden club, horticultural society, local group or business, MNB Designs can provide talks that are informative, relaxed and full of useful insight.
Talks For Garden Clubs, Societies & Businesses
MNB Designs offers garden talks for:
- Garden clubs
- Horticultural societies
- Local community groups
- Businesses
- Specialist interest groups
- Online events and presentations
The talks can focus on one of Christian’s favourite subjects or be adapted to suit your group. From maintaining your garden to more technical subjects such as ponds, planting and how gardens are built, the aim is to share knowledge in a way that feels useful, engaging and easy to understand.
The client’s original notes specifically mention garden clubs, businesses, horticultural societies and online talks, with topics ranging from water in the garden to modern garden changes and gardening with physical ailments.
Garden Talk Topics
Water In The Garden
A thoughtful talk about water in the garden, looking at how it can bring movement, atmosphere, wildlife value and interest into an outdoor space.
Plants, Ponds & Practical Choices
A more hands-on talk covering plant choices, pond considerations and the practical details that help a garden work properly, not just look good.
Gardening With A Bad Back & Other Ailments
A practical and personal talk about gardening with physical limitations. Christian brings his own perspective from living with spinal problems, along with thoughts and ideas from others on how gardening can be made more manageable.
How The Modern Garden Is Changing
Gardens are no longer just lawns and flower borders. This talk looks at how outdoor spaces are changing, from home offices and porcelain paving to saunas, outdoor rooms and the way people now use their gardens.
Jumpers For Goalposts
A reflective and personal talk looking at first experiences in the garden, with references to Christian’s own time in green spaces and the moments that shape our connection with gardens.
Making Gardens Easier To Live With
A practical talk about designing, adapting and maintaining gardens so they work better for real life. This can cover lower-maintenance choices, easier access, usable seating areas, planting decisions and small changes that make outdoor spaces more enjoyable.
Practical, Thoughtful & Down To Earth
The best garden talks do not need to be overcomplicated. They need to be interesting, useful and delivered by someone who understands the subject properly.
Christian’s talks combine practical knowledge with personal experience, giving audiences a grounded view of gardening, landscaping and outdoor spaces.
These are not just talks about what looks good in a garden. They are about how gardens work, how they change and how people can enjoy them in more practical and thoughtful ways.
Online Garden Talks Available
Online garden talks are also available for clubs, societies and groups that cannot meet in person or would prefer a remote session.
This can be a useful option for groups outside the local area, seasonal events or organisations looking for a more flexible way to host a garden speaker.

If you have a particular subject in mind, please ask.
Christian is happy to cover a range of garden-related topics where he can help, from maintaining your space to more technical talks around landscaping, planting, ponds and practical garden design.
If the topic sits within his experience, he will let you know what is possible.
