2026 marks an exciting new chapter for MNB Designs, as we make our move to Hillier Garden Centre Liss.

For me, this is more than just a new base. It is something I have wanted to do for almost 15 years. I have worked at Hillier before, but under someone else’s name. This time, I return with my own business, MNB Designs, also known as Mother Nature’s Beauty.

That makes this move feel very special.

A Return to Hillier Garden Centre Liss

Over the coming months, we will be building a garden at Hillier Garden Centre Liss for people to enjoy, walk around and take ideas from.

It will also give customers the chance to see our garden design and landscaping work in person, rather than only through photos, social media or carefully staged images.

I genuinely believe people are getting tired of online fakery. There is a lot of gloss out there, but not always much substance. So, for us, this feels like a return to something more honest. Put the work in front of people. Let them see it. Let them ask questions. Let them get a feel for what is possible in their own garden.

A Garden Built for Real Homes, Not Just Show

The garden we are creating at Hillier Liss is not being built as a show garden in the traditional sense.

We are not setting out to create something that feels out of reach, overly technical or impossible to maintain. I have seen that reaction many times over the years:

“That’s wonderful, but I could never have that in my garden.”

That is not what we want.

After working in the local area for three decades, we have a good understanding of what people actually need from their gardens. Yes, a garden should look beautiful. But it also needs to work for everyday life. It needs to suit the property, the people using it and the level of maintenance they are comfortable with.

Our garden at Hillier will reflect that.

It will show practical ideas, quality materials, thoughtful planting and landscaping details that can inspire real gardens, not just magazine spreads.

Working With Trusted Garden and Landscaping Suppliers

One of the things we are most proud of is the relationships we have built with trusted suppliers.

Good landscaping depends on good materials. Whether we are choosing plants, paving, timber, garden structures or finishing details, the quality of the finished garden is shaped by the products that go into it.

At Hillier Garden Centre Liss, we will be able to show a selection of materials, planting and garden features from suppliers we know and trust.

This includes plants from Hillier, paving and stone from Pavestone, handmade sheds from Winchester Sheds, sustainable UK-made storage solutions from The Bike Shed Company, oak garden structures from Fallen Oak Frames and architectural salvage from Clan Line, The Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society.

We are also proud to work with Coomers Timber and Building Supplies, a local merchant that helps us deliver the end results we are known for.

Plants, Paving, Timber and Garden Structures

The benefit of having these products in a real garden setting is simple. You can see how they work together.

Choosing paving from a sample can be helpful, but seeing it alongside planting, timber, structures and garden furniture gives a much clearer sense of how it might feel in your own space.

The same applies to plants. A plant on a bench in a garden centre is one thing. A plant used properly in a border, with shape, contrast and structure around it, tells a much better story.

That is what we want this space to do.

Visit MNB Designs at Hillier Garden Centre Liss

This move is incredibly exciting for us, and we hope it will be exciting for our customers too.

You will be able to visit Hillier Garden Centre Liss, see the garden as it develops and meet myself or members of the MNB Designs team as we build and maintain the space.

We are looking forward to working alongside the other businesses on site, including Gatleys Pet and Aquatics and Winchester Garden Machinery, all with the shared aim of helping people get more from one of the most important parts of their home.

The garden.

We look forward to seeing you there.
